Since high school period, students are accustomed to make essays. And, the number and variation of essays they should make getting more and wider when they enter college. In college, students are also introduced with several types of essays, so they can choose one of those types as the guidelines when they’re given an assignment to write essay at class.
For example, the type of essays uses in history class and in biology class must be very different. When you study at college, you should be ready to receive many assignments about writing essays. Thus, we notice sometimes some students lack the ideas about what should they have to write because they’ve been 2-3 essays in one week. Of course, it’s no problem for students who love writing, but it’s a big problem with most of the students.
Let’s discuss several points related to writing essays. First are the essay topics. It’s good when the lecturer have provided the topics to be written, so we don’t have to think what topic will be the best choice or what topic can really answer the lecturer’s question. We could save our time. However, if you’re required to make custom essays, try to find a topic that is still related to the subject being taught at class.
After knowing and deciding the topic of your essay, you should be able to find an interesting and unusual point of view. Let’s imagine this: all of the students at your class get the same assignment and similar topic. How can you attract the lecturer’s attention if you couldn’t provide any interesting essay? Thus, trying to see the topics from several point of views to help you find the best content to be written.
From the topic and the content you decide to write, we believe that you can decide what type of essays you’ll write, is it a cause and effect, classification, compare and contrast, descriptive, history, narrative, or persuasive essay.
Finally, try to write the essay based on the guidelines given on how to make a good type of the “selected” essay. We believe that your lecturer will be amazed with your writing, especially since we already know that some students don’t really pay attention when they’re required to write essays.
They sometimes open the documents in their computer and try to find the old essays they wrote before that have similar topic. They believe that it could save much time, but they’re wrong since the lecturer must have calculated and thought the benefits and point you can learn by writing the assignment he/she gave.
